Our Proven Syllabus

The primary objective is to raise our children under the guidance set by Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) and His Prophet (عليه السلام), providing them with the most effective and persistent knowledge which will help them live as a good Muslim in a plural society.

Our syllabus has been developed over several years and is constantly being adjusted. It is actively being used in our affiliated Madrassahs around the island. This syllabus is designed for primary students taking into account the time allocated to Madrassah in the daily life of the student.

Registration for year 2024 is now open!

The Quran is the backbone of our syllabus. We strive to connect our students with the Quran, the Words of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) since the early days.

We focus on Quranic reading introducing letters, vowels, words and then sentences.

We then ensure students are able to read fluently and with the right rules of Tajweed. We correct Tajweed in a unique manner that is suited to correct Mauritian students.

Since the first grades we introduce hifz whereby students are required to memorize short Surahs in the last chapter. We then move on to common Surahs and other Juz.

Students are also exposed to the science of Tafseer where we cover the matters related to the revelation of the Quran and also cover tafseer of a selected set of Surahs.

The Prophet (عليه السلام) was described by Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) as {وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ} “And indeed, you are of a great moral character.” (Quran 68:4) We strive to inculcate Islamic manners and ethics to our students, covering various aspects of the student daily life, ensuring our students are good Muslims as well as good citizens of the society.

Hadith is introduced to students whereby they need to understand the science of hadith as well as lessons from some selected set of Hadith.

Students are explained the basic set of Fiqh from the 5 pillars of Islam so they are equipped to practice Islam early on.

Students are related various stories as revealed by Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) through the Quran or through His Prophet (عليه السلام) whereby they build a strong familiarity of the universality of the Message of all Prophets (عليهم السلام) and the nature of people in general.

They can then utilise this as a guide throughout their life to be able to choose between right and wrong paths; understanding the humility and sacrifice needed by the righteous people; and avoid the arrogance demonstrated by the people following their whims.

Adhkaar and Duaa is such an important aspect of a Muslim actions. Dhikr is that action that is described by Allah Almighty as being the “Greatest” and  it that act which keeps moist the tongues of those who are successful on this earth.
Dua is the weapon of the believer which the believer uses morning to evening to show his entire reliance on His Lord, the one who Hears and Respond to His servants.

Adhkaar and Duaas are taught to our students aiming to have them live a life conscious of their reliance on Allah, as well as an always-on direct 2-way communication.

One of the methodologies used by Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) in the revelation to His Prophet (عليه السلام) is through story telling.

{نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْقَصَصِ بِمَآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ وَإِن كُنتَ مِن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمِنَ ٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ}

{We relate to you, [O Muḥammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Qur’ān although you were, before it, among the unaware.} (Quran 12:3)

We utilize the same methodology and cover a wide range of stories taken from the Quran, Hadith, as well as other moral stories.
