Raoul Vaneck

Raoul Léon Victor Vaneck (also spelled Vancke, Vannicke, Vanck; 29 May 1870 in Uccle – 26 April 1941) was a Belgian-Dutch painter, known for his impressionist landscapes.

His father was a shopkeeper in Uccle, and as a young boy he had an interest in drawing. He initially attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Ghent) in Belgium, where he spent three years studying landscape painting. Then, at age 17, he went to Paris for further studies, where he painted in the studio of Henri Rivière and Eugène Carrière (1848–1905). Carrière was a major influence on Vaneck, and they became good friends.

In Paris, he painted some naturalist genre scenes. He then returned to Belgium and exhibited at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels (1891) and in Antwerp (1892). He continued to exhibit in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, and elsewhere until 1910.

In 1910, a woman named Francisca Kox of Dordrecht advised him to take up painting en plein air. From 1910 to 1914, he painted landscapes and bouquets in the Dutch countryside. At that time, he also painted a self-portrait, which is notable for its delicate palette.

Later in his career, he again returned to Paris and saw the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists in the city's museums. He accepted an invitation by Thomas Eakins to live and paint in the Philadelphia Museum of Art (1916–17), where he stayed for almost four years. In 1917, he again returned to France and created Impressionist landscapes on the edge of the Rhône Valley, on view at the Georges Braque exhibition in the First World War at the Galerie Georges Petit, Paris (1917). During this time he also created some Expressionist paintings, including Self-Portrait with a Bird (Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York), and a series of self-portraits.

After the war, he returned to painting in France, but lived in isolation from the art world, preferring to spend his days sailing on the shore of the Rhône. In 1924, he set sail once more, this time to the Canary Islands,

Are there any satanic icons in the Book of Kells?

There is some evidence that the Book of Kells has depictions of demons. It has to do with the arms on the cover, and it also has a depiction of a demon in the center of the pages. So my question is, are there any demonic images in the center of the pages?

Do not read anything about these in Wikipedia. Do not believe anything you read there.
The grounds for the claim that there are demonic images in the Codex are that an image of a demonic snake is used as a bookmark, and that an image that looks like a beard of Judas sits in the center of the page.
According to Wikipedia, the bookmark has the Irish letters áisc (English: ash) and they are transliterated as ash and "will burn". The second is a four-leafed shamrock, a motif that is not uncommon in Irish culture.
I don't think anyone is asking if there are what would be called demonic images in the Book of Kells. As in this question. The question is if there are depictions that look like demons in the Book of Kells. We know that the Book of Kells has several representations of birds. I think we may be able to safely say that nothing in the Book of Kells looks like a demon.
I've seen some doubt cast on the Book of Kells' authenticity because its "wings" are actually silk. However, the Book of Kells has been on display for over 600 years, and the book has been lovingly preserved. We know that the book was completed in the years A.D. 832-835. This is because on one of the illustrations (Book 4, page 251), St. Comgall refers to "the time the gospel was not preached" (Scott #896).

I have a hard time believing the Book of Kells has images of demons. I will explain.
The first problem with this is the image in question is the second of two Book of Kells images to be translated. The other, obviously, is the Book of Cura. That means that it is unlikely there are two demons in one image.

On the other hand, if you want to go to Wikipedia, then you will learn that the image has to do with astrological signs and
